I hope everyone is having a great summer so far and the heat is not too bad wherever you are. I’ve been busy at my Top 100 Odyssey and so far 2009 has been great and very busy. Since my last email update back in early April I’ve played 8 Top 100 courses which brings me to a grand total of 35. I have added new posts to my website for the following courses:
Pete Dye Golf Club – Bridgeport, WV
Laurel Valley Golf Club – Ligonier, PA
Whistling Straits – Kohler, WI
Milwaukee Country Club – Indian River, WI
Double Eagle Club – Galena, OH
The Golf Club – New Albany, OH
Butler National Golf Club – Oak Brook, IL
Olympia Fields Country Club – Olympia Fields, IL
I even included an action shot of me on the Butler post for those of you who have been saying I need more photos of me on the site. If you click on the link below it will take you to my updates page.
This month I’m off to New York to play Winged Foot’s East Course, Sebonack and Quaker Ridge which is a trip I’m pretty excited for. I’ve got a number of trips in the works for the remainder of the year including Atlanta, the coast and the mountains of North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, back to Chicago and possibly Arizona and Southern California. If all my plans fall into place I will end the year at the halfway point with 50 courses completed. A lofty goal, but I’m hoping to reach it.
Thats about all I have to report. I just wanted to send a quick update to let everyone know that I’m still steadily plugging away and that so far 2009 has been a great year for the Top 100 Golf Odyssey. Please be sure to let me know if any of you have travels that bring you to Richmond so that we can get together for a game.
